Quilt Teddy Bear

Agak lama juga saya tak buat quilt, dah bertahun rasanya. Ingatkan dulu quilt baby menjadi saya punya major, lama-lama yang menjadi major adalah sarung kerusi dan juga cadar.

Tapi kalau ada tempahan yang simple insya-allah saya terima. Macam projek kali ini lebih kepada newborn baby. Corak dan warna terpulang pada saya. Cuma ibunya tidak mahu menjurus kepada mana-mana warna spesifik, seperti biru untuk lelaki dan merah jambu untuk perempuan. Walaupun telah discan, babynya lelaki. Saya juga tidak pernah spesifik untuk warna. Dulu pernah saya beli hijau, kuning dan oren untuk baju. Warna merah jambu pun pernah saya pakaikan untuk anak lelaki, hasilnya  bila bawa berjalan orang ingat baby girl.

Tambahan pula rambutnya lebat.

Quilt ini sederhana besar,  80 sm lebar dan juga 60 sm panjang. Saya suka buat dalam saiz ini sebab dipasaran bagi saya agak kecil. Biasanya bila baby dah besar sikit dalam 4 bulan, baby akan tergolek-golek, jadi quilt yang agak lebar diharap dapat mengalas kelasakan baby tu.

Bantal peluk mini tu pulak fungsinya dapat buat penyendal baby tu daripada tergolek.

Quilt renda

Lama dah rasanya tak menyentuh blog ni.  Cuba juga untuk "memblog" dan "memposting" setiap minggu tapi nampaknya kurang berjaya disebabkan kesibukan dan juga mencari  rentak baru dalam kehidupan.  Yelah, asyik buat benda yang sama sahaja dalam tempoh masa yang lama memang menjemukan.  

Penutup projek jahitan untuk tahun 2012 adalah  Quilt Renda. Lama dah tak buat quilt. Tempahan diterima daripada seorang kawan yang mahukan "something special" untuk buah hatinya ...ALEESYA. Hadiah sempena ulang tahun yang ke tiga. Bagaimana ya..mahu diadunkan..something special, cute and girlish. Tidak ketinggalan juga mahu cepat kerana harijadi lagi 2 minggu menjelang. Jadi, cara yang paling pantas bagi saya adalah menambahkan renda kerana  tampal cantum applique akan memakan masa yang lama.

Fabrik yang dipilih adalah daripada Thewah berharga RM12.90 per meter. Bagi menampakkan kelainan saya membuat rekabentuk  berkeluk-keluk  pada sarung bantal kecil.
Saiz quilt pula adalah 150sm lebar x 200sm panjang.

Quilt dari pandangan atas

Colourful Quilt

The colourful quilts is for three young ladies. Hope they can share with each other. This time my friend want something colourful and bright. So...I combined three types of fabric which were plain..(in red and yellow which I patch the 5 flower petals), polka dot (variety of colour) and  2 types of stripes  fabric (blue and red stripes). At the top of polka dot and stripes fabric, I sew shape of  4 petals of flower using sewing machine. Then for the binding I selected plain red fabric to make the looks ‘milder’. 

My quilt for children always come together with 2 standard pillowcase. So for each of pillowcase I patched again  5 flower petals using the same fabric for quilts. Complete the pillowcase with the borders made from blue and red stripes fabric that used before.

Ruffled Quilt

This is for a newborn baby. Of course, the baby is a girl. Having difficulties to match fabric for ruffle with the white fabric that used as a cover for this project. I need the combination of fabric that can make the project look outstanding. So I chose white polka dot fabric with red round shape and sew along with the red lace. If I have red based polka dot fabric with small round white shape I think the look could be better.
This project comprises of 1 set of mattress cover, 2 bolster (in picture showed only 1), 1 pillow head cover.

Safari Quilts

This project I've made for a friend newborn daughter. I combined red and green hippopotamus fabric to get bright result. The quilt suitable for both girl and boy. This set supposed come together with 2 pillows and 2 bolster. Measurement of the quilts is 85cm wide and 1.2cm length.

Car Quilt

The quilt was made for my neighbour baby boy. I try to put the design as simple as ever. But, some of my friends tell me that design look empty. I still searching and do some observation that pattern that people might like to.
This set supposed come together with 2 pillows and 2 bolster. Measurement of the quilts is 85cm wide and 1.2cm length.

Butterfly Quilt

This quilt is made for a friend's daughter. She  prefers something feminine and soft. She let me chose the motifs and colour. So,

I try my best to put feminine touch in this project. The colour fabric is a background of a teenage girl go to shopping, while the butterfly quilt I patch from the fabric I bought from children department at IKEA. The daughter is about 8 years old, therefore I make the quilt bigger from before. Measurement is about 1 metre width and 1.7 metre length. It comes together with 2 standard pillowcase.
